The best time to visit tokyo will depend on what you want to do, but generally the best time to visit Japan and Tokyo would be March, April, May and September since the humidity is at it’s lowest and its not to hot to walk around.

How much money should I bring?

How much money you should bring will depend on what you intend to do. Be for warned that in Japan unlike many western countries the use of cash is far more prevalent then debit/credit cards. It is not uncommon for Japanese to carry excess of 500+ dollars on them. Using credit cards has become somewhat of a norm in bigger cities such as Tokyo but if you intend to leave Tokyo I would advise bringing cash.

Tokyo consistently ranks as one of the safest cities in the world. I would not be worried about my safety in Tokyo, the worst thing that can happen to you is a traffic accident.

You can get around Tokyo by Car, Taxi, Train, foot and Bicycle. It will all depend on what you want to see and how quickly you want to see things. I would recommend taking a day to bike around since you can travel pretty quickly by bike and cover a lot of sites which would be hassle to get to by train.
